The Role
Work together with the Business Development Manager, other Funding and Finance staff, the Country Programme Team, and the funding teams in Partner Affiliates to contribute to the Yemen funding strategy by ensuring: a) new funding opportunities are identified and are aligned with Oxfam Yemen country strategy; b) there is full compliance with donor contractual requirements; c) that project proposals and reporting are timely and of high quality; and d) to support all fundraising initiatives. The role will also support capacity building of programme staff in donor reporting and proposal writing.
To achieve the country program ambitions, the Aden Funding Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing Aden’s resource mobilisation strategies, to build and maintain partnerships between Oxfam and institutional donors, and from this to identify and develop new funding opportunities. The Funding Coordinator will be expected to work across the confederation of OI affiliates to achieve the country funding strategy, and to access technical assistance and support from the confederation’s fundraising architecture. The Funding Coordinator will support the Aden program teams to deliver effectively against donor expectations by facilitating and ensuring timely and quality, financial and program reporting to donors.

The MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region implements and manages programmes in Yemen, Occupied Palestinian Territories, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Jordan.

It is Oxfam’s policy to hire at the minimum to middle of the band, depending upon the skills and experiences of the strongest candidate.
This role is open to both national and non nationals. Successful candidates who will be required to relocate internationally to take up the role will be provided with a competitive international relocation package.
