Organization: Oxfam
Country: Jordan
Closing date: 11 Sep 2016

The Role

Oxfam is responding to the water, sanitation and hygiene needs of the Syrian refugees in Zataari camp since last 4 years. Within the WASH Response, Oxfam currently designed the recycling project following the results of an assessment and pilots on the potential for creating sustainable income-generating opportunities through waste stream management. The assessment results justified establishing a recycling initiative through the bulk selling of recyclable materials, creating marketable products from recyclables, and using wet recyclables for composting for a community gardening initiative.

In order to improve the knowledge of the camp population, the information, education and communication (IEC) materials to be developed to assist the staff, Cash for work workers and camp population on their community wide recycling approach. The IEC materials are culture sensitive and will consider the level of literacy of the targeted audience. The pictorial graphic design will literally illustrate the target behaviour change around the recycling programme.

Full details are available in the attached ToR below.
