General Summary
Taghyeer For Social Media is seeking a Film-maker assistant to assist a film-maker training young Bedouins from two communities in Area C of the West Bank at making short films for advocacy as part of the YouLead project financed by Global Affairs Canada, supervised by Oxfam and implemented by Taghyeer for Social Media, with the technical support of the Canadian NGO Wapikoni Mobile.

About Wapikoni Mobile:
Background:
The overall objective of the project “**YouLead**- Bedouin Youth Leaders in the Digital Age” is to empower young women and men in Area C, OPT. This is a pilot project aiming to adapt and test a Canadian youth empowerment model employed for First Nations communities in Canada on the OPT context, specifically with marginalized youth in Area C. The main activity of the proposed project is creative trainings to bring young women and men to work together, to express themselves, to tell their story, identify their interests, thus shaping potential story ideas**.**
Objective:
Taghyeer organization in partnership are seeking to hire a qualified Film-maker Assistant to be responsible for delivering film making services and focusing on the below tasks:
· Assisting Oxfam Film-Maker in the two Bedouin Communities in conducting various training exercises with the participants in screen writing, camera, sound recording, editing.
· Guiding on producing films as part of advocacy/influencing work disseminated.
· Providing technical support to the young Bedouin women and men in Area C in making their short films (camera, sound recording, editing).
· Support in organising film crews and all the logistic necessary to make the films
· Translate from English to Arabic and Arabic to English to facilitate communication flow between trainer and trainees.

· Good knowledge of techniques in camera, sound recording, editing and script writing
· Ability to teach and work within a team
· Demonstrate leadership and dynamism
· Organizational skills
· Ability to handle uncertain situations with ease
· Adaptability (to cultural differences, to working in a remote and tense area with variable hours)
· Can work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
· Openness to the principles of gender equality
Computer knowledge
· Mastery of the Final Cut Pro X
Language skills
· Fluent in both English and Arabic

Notes:
