Oxfam has been working in Nepal since the early 1980s undertaking various development initiatives addressing the poverty and injustice faced by the population, especially women and other socially and economically excluded groups. OXAFM is looking for dynamic team player in the following position for our National programme.

We are seeking experienced member for a long term; in-country role on following upcoming project and position:

Team Leader–Nepal Urban Resilience Programme

Position: Team Leader–Nepal Urban Resilience Programme

Level: C1

Location: Kathmandu

Job Role

The position is responsible for taking an overall management role for the DFID Nepal Urban Resilience Project intended to support national and local government in strengthening the resilience of growing urban areas to natural disasters. S/he requires to provide leadership and strategic guidance to DFID Nepal Urban Resilience Program Team in area Urban disaster risk assessment, plans and business systems. S/he will also be responsible for program development, Partnership Management and Reporting.

Skills and Competencies

Masters Degree in International Development, Development Management, Urban Planning, DRR & Climate Change Adaptation, Civil Engineering, or similar subjects with five years of experience in building resilience urban communities including policy work in the sector.
