Oxfam in South Sudan

Oxfam has a dedicated team working across South Sudan to rebuild jobs and livelihoods, provide humanitarian assistance and promote active citizenship. We focus on providing clean water, public health and livelihoods support, and work with partners on peace building and governance issues. Since the crisis began in December 2013, Oxfam has provided lifesaving food, water and sanitation assistance to nearly 700,000 people affected by the conflict and 350,000 with agriculture, peace building and governance

The role

The program MEAL Coordinator will lead in providing technical support / expertise and tools to DFID Humanitarian Aid and Resilience in South Sudan (HARISS) programme, ensuring strong, effective, coordinated Monitoring Evaluation Accountability & Learning (MEAL) systems to drive the programme improvement and quality. The MEAL Coordinator will lead the development and implementation of a systematic approach to MEAL, ensuring that Oxfam and partner teams are able to effectively track outputs and outcomes and manage data effectively for reporting and learning purposes. In addition, the MEAL Coordinator will build the capacity of Oxfam and partners teams, providing specialist advice.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who has a Degree in social sciences preferably sociology, development studies or statistics/ demography with extensive proven Monitoring, evaluation & Learning field experience in diverse contexts as well as experience of resilience and humanitarian work in Oxfam, and an understanding of WASH, EFSL, protection, and gender needs.
