Oxfam in South Sudan

Oxfam has a dedicated team working across South Sudan to rebuild jobs and livelihoods, provide humanitarian assistance and promote active citizenship. We focus on providing clean water, public health and livelihoods support, and work with partners on peace building and governance issues. Since the crisis began in December 2013, Oxfam has provided lifesaving food, water and sanitation assistance to nearly 700,000 people affected by the conflict and 350,000 with agriculture, peace building and governance.

The role

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all logistics activities for our South Sudan programs as well as maintaining an overview to OXFAM international logistics policies, systems and procedures relevant to all programmes in Juba and field bases. The Country Logistics Coordinator will work with programme managers / coordinators to identify logistics needs and develop strategies to meet them in a timely fashion. H/she will ensure that logistics-related donor conditions are met across the programme response programme and with the support of the Helios National Focal Point, ensure that Helios is implemented in all Programme field bases location, and to make sure that all the logistics staffs are trained in the usage of Helios system

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who has a Business Degree in Business management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a Bachelors degree with Post graduate qualifications in Supply chain and logistics with at least five years practical field operations experience in logistics management with an international NGO preferably in emergency. Experience in working in conflict area is a plus and a masters degree id desired.
