Location: Flexible, with a strong preference for a location in the global south in which Oxfam International is able to establish a contract. In common with other key Oxfam International roles, it is expected that the post will move to Nairobi at the latest by March 2019.

Salary: Global salary and package in line with Oxfam values

This post will be a key part of the Oxfam International Advocacy and Campaigns leadership team.

Oxfam International is looking for an exceptional and motivating manager and campaigner to join our team as Deputy to the Oxfam International (OI) Director of Advocacy and Campaigns. This is a key role that leads the development and implementation of Oxfam’s public-facing campaigning through line management and oversight of our four worldwide public-facing campaigns: GROW, Even it Up, Rights in Crisis and Ending Violence Against Women and Girls. The post holder will also oversee Oxfam’s global digital campaigning and deputize for the Director of Advocacy and Campaigns as required.

The successful applicant will have:

  • The ability to strategically navigate within a complex, global organization
  • Experience in leading multi-issue campaigns at regional or multi-country level, with substantial experience in the global south
  • Internal, dispersed leadership skills: ability to lead, motivate and influence
  • External leadership: networking, leading partners
  • Broad knowledge of international development and human rights

Fluency in English required and competence in French and/or Spanish is desirable.
