The MENA Regional Influencing team is part of the Regional Platform and leads on Oxfam’s regional influencing agenda in the region and in countries, including media and communications

The Role

The MENA Regional Platform is looking for an experienced individual to provide strategic support and leadership, ensuring the deliver of humanitarian campaigns at the regional level, with a focus on Oxfam's priority campaigns (the Syria Crisia and Yemen Campaigns) and collaborating with Oxfam colleagues at country, affiliate and Secretariat level to highlight key regional issues.

What we're looking for

You will be an experienced human rights advocate- with a solid understanding of humanitarian policy and practice. You will be able to lobby and influencing persuasively and diplomatically. You will demonstrate flexibility and agility - comfortable operating in both a support position as well as stepping into leadership as required. You will lead with clarity of communication and sensitivity across boundaries in a multi-cultural, largely virtual space. You will demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to take initiative in complex contexts. Knowledge of the region is desirable and Arabic (or other regional languages) is highly desirable.
