JOB PURPOSE

The Executive Board (EB) of Oxfam International sets the organizational direction of Oxfam (namely Oxfam 2020) and is now in the process of reviewing Oxfam’s footprint globally. Within that, the Southern Africa (SAF) Region is reviewing its current structure to a new model. The purpose of this job is to help shape the future organization by coordinating and managing the feasibility study and project managing the deliverables as defined and agreed by the Regional Governance Group (RGG).

The Project Manager role is a senior management position and will also provide support to the Regional Director (RD) and the RGG in implementing agreed actions for the next phase of the exercise. The role ensures effective communication at various stages of the exercise with key stakeholders. This needs to be done in a "total systems" way that supports the development of an increasingly effective one Oxfam network across multiple governance levels, teams, countries, affiliates and functional groupings.

JOB DIMENSIONS

· To project manage the deliverables within the timeframes agreed and that includes the identification and quantification of resources required.

· To closely work with the various Stakeholders (individuals and groups) to foster collaboration and buy in to the process.

· To hold both strategic goals and operational tasks linked to the project.

· To lead regular feedback loops through rapid real time evaluations and consistent communications to all stakeholders.

· To manage the financials related to the project. To facilitate the recruitment of consultants and manage their work as necessary and/or appropriate
