The Role
Oxfam International Pan Africa Program is looking for a Women’s Land Rights Programme Assistant to directly implement the “Women’s Land Rights for Inclusive Development and Growth in Africa” project activities in Kenya and deliver the communications, media and advocacy aspect of the project in the target countries.
What we are looking for
Our next Women’s Land Rights Programme Assistant will require a range of skills and experience: significant knowledge of broader justice issues; and experience in promoting women’s rights including women’s land and property rights at national and regional level. The successful candidate will provide thought leadership on the communications, media and advocacy component of the WIDGRA project and support project countries on the same. S/he should hold previous experience in high level advocacy and policy influencing work at national, regional and international level. In addition, they should have experience in supporting external media and communications work, with established contacts and networks on media in Africa.
S/he should possess knowledge and skills on the use of new media and social media to further advocacy and outreach goals, while directly with women beneficiaries and partners in multi-country advocacy programmes
