This post will be part of the OI Secretariat Advocacy and Campaigns team and based in the OI Secretariat New York Office
The Role
Do you have a passion for helping people affected by humanitarian crises, poverty and inequality? From local communities to the global stage, Oxfam works for fairness and justice so that people in poverty can influence the decisions that affect them. An exciting position in Oxfam International's New York advocacy office can help you to achieve this goal. You must have a background in office administration, with strong communication skills. A familiarity with the United Nations, and work experience in the non-profit sector, are preferable. Oxfam International is looking for a person to provide day to day administrative support to the Head of the New York Office and the OI New York (OI-NY) team in order to increase Oxfam International’s influence and impact on policy-making and practice within the United Nations system, and to support collaboration among OI affiliates in support of OI’s lobbying and campaigning on conflict and humanitarian crises.
Fluency in English required and competence in French and/or Spanish is desirable.
