The Role
Violence against women and girls is a global crisis, already affecting one in three women in their lifetime, devastating their lives and fracturing communities. The worldwide Enough / BASTA campaign team focuses on challenging discriminatory social norms that perpetuate and condone violence against women and girls.
Oxfam International is looking for an experienced women’s rights campaigner to accompany countries engaged in the campaign across LAC to develop strong national campaigns and ensure the worldwide campaign is led by the priorities of countries and regions.
The successful applicant will have an in-depth knowledge of violence against women and girls in LAC and strong commitment to intersectional feminist principles; experience in national or regional campaigning, especially focused on violence against women and/ or changing attitudes, beliefs and social norms; experience of accompaniment/ supporting others to develop and deliver campaigns and experience of working with women’s rights organisations/ feminist movements in LAC.
Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and professional capacity to work in English are essential.
