This post will be part of the OI Secretariat Finance team and based in the OI Secretariat offices in Oxford.
Oxfam International is looking for Finance Officer – Purchase & Sales Ledger to maintain the Supplier and Customer Accounts (currently in Sageline 50), which involves liaising with Staff, Budget Holders, Suppliers and Customers around the world, collating supporting paperwork and authorisation to ensure the correct allocation of the Secretariat’s resources. The Finance Officer will be working with the Secretariat’s 3 main currencies daily, as well as a multitude of other currencies on a regular basis.
Other duties include: Bank Reconciliation, Petty Cash Floats and excel spreadsheet preparation of Payroll information.
· The successful applicant will be meticulous in their attention to detail, have a thorough understanding of currency conversion and the calculation of exchange rate gains and losses and possess a moderate level of IT skills. The Finance Officer will have excellent written and spoken English and will be a Team Player, but also confident to work on their own initiative. Competence in French and/or Spanish is desirable.
Fluency in English required and competence in French and/or Spanish is desirable.
