O*xfam South Sudan is looking for an experienced ****Funding Coordinator****to provide strategic lead on fundraising and business development for the country programme.*
This is a key role, working in coordination with Regional and Oxford based funding teams, to support the country programme to maintain and establish strategic partnerships in order to mobilise resources for programmes and provide programme development. The role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an up-to-date country funding strategy and plan, and in close partnership with the Country Director, ensure the appropriateness of the existing Funding Strategy in relation to the political, socio economic, financial, legal and humanitarian external environment.
The role will directly manage established relationships with strategic longer term donors in the areas of development, WASH, EFSL, Protection, advocacy and strategic humanitarian programming, in addition to playing a key role in identifying and influencing new strategic partnerships to secure resources for the programme development. The role will support program teams to develop and plan concept papers, proposals and reports in accordance with country strategy and donor requirements in order to maintain and grow levels of strategic funding within the South Sudan programme.
As part of the Senior Management Team, the role will play a strategic role in transition into One Oxfam in South Sudan through streamlining fundraising processes and activities, working in the interests of all affiliates in the country and contribute to the overall leadership of the South Sudan programme.
To be successful you will have strong grant management and fundraising skills, with significant experience in managing donor contracts, working with a wide range of institutional donors and managing the co-ordination of the bid development process. You will have strong interpersonal and communication and relationship skills with ability to influence external organizations and individuals. In addition, you will need strong numeracy and financial skills, particularly in developing budgets, financial management, monitoring and reporting. A good understanding of Program Cycle Management in emergencies or development environments and experience in fast-paced and difficult contexts will be required for this role.
