Country: Kenya
Organization: Oxfam
Closing date: 3 Mar 2024

Background and Context:
RELON-Kenya is a national network of Refugee-Led Organizations Network of Kenya, established in 2019 and officially registered with the Registrar of Societies. It serves as a unifying platform for RLOs across Kenya, aiming to connect them with various opportunities, resources, and funding. The network facilitates networking among RLOs themselves and with potential partners and stakeholders at national, regional, and global levels. The idea to establish such a network arose from the recognition of the exclusion of refugees from policy dialogues. RELON-Kenya operates as a membership organization, welcoming members from both urban and camp-based RLOs, advocating for their engagement with governmental bodies and international non-governmental organizations (INGOs). Founded on principles of participation and inclusion, RELON-Kenya aims to empower refugees to participate in decision-making processes concerning their daily lives. By bringing together RLOs and individual refugees across Kenya, the network aims to create a unified and influential voice advocating for refugee rights and interests. The strategic focus for 2021-2023 revolves around advocating for refugee inclusion in policymaking processes and enhancing RLOs' self-representation.
