BACKGROUND

The global movement of Oxfam started with a vision; a just world without poverty, where every individual has access to equal opportunities and resources. To work for this vision, Oxfam encouraged people in adapting change by being part of the process that allows them to be the driver of every change within their society. To achieve its goal, Oxfam has been collaborating with different partner organizations, media, government institutions, private sectors, community groups, influencers, and other changemakers to expand the productivity of its work on gender, climate and economic issues.

The economic aspect of Oxfam’s work focuses on building sustainable and responsible economic structures that are human-centric. For this purpose, Oxfam has been actively engaged with private sector to promote business practices that contribute to the quality of life of the communities we work in. Considering that these collaborations affect the communities, Oxfam have been empowering and channelling the public voices on these issues with its intervention through multiple projects. The aim of these interventions is to aware communities, influence government and private sector to change policies and practices for just and resilient societies.

SCOPE OF WORK

Oxfam is organizing a two-days flagship event in Bangkok, Thailand to hold dialogues on the inclusive and responsible business practices and showcase the successful business models that are contributing to the global good. The event will include, plenary discussions, dialogues, group activities and presentations to learn and share experiences for mutual capacity building.

Therefore, Oxfam is seeking consultancy service to present the gathered learnings from the event into two creative and interactive videos for dissemination. These videos will be shared with the participants to distribute further with their relevant team members; therefore, it is vital that the video conveys clear message.

All content in its final form will be the intellectual property of Oxfam and may not be used for other commercial purposes without permission. The consultant will work in close collaboration with Oxfam’s teams to ensure delivery of the required deliverables on pre-defined standards, using Oxfam’s branding and media guidelines

DELIVERABLES

The consultant will provide services on a consultancy contract whereby the agreed quote will be paid to the selected institution. The payments will be released as the deliverables are finalized and shared with the team.

Oxfam set forth below deliverables for this project

  • Two videos, in accordance with Oxfam’s brand guidelines, that is up to 5inutes each in length that highlights program successes and outcomes; (text animations, key statistics, quizzes)
  • Creatively design a script of the videos containing the learnings and information from the event after the consultation with Oxfam team
  • A detailed plan of action including timeline
  • Final story board with all the approved content
  • Source files of the videos – to be shared on the box folder
  • Video format should be compatible for both laptop and mobile devices
  • Take high quality pictures and videos of the entire event which can be used on social media and knowledge product – pictures must be shared with the team right after each day for social media engagement and videos within five days after the event
  • Provide complete recording of the main event – plenary discussions and short clips of the breakout rooms
  • Record 5 mins interviews of 12 panel members and 10 testimonials from the participants

The type of video (animated, pictorial, illustration etc.) will be decided along with the consultant

PAYMENT SCHEDULE

The payment to the selected consultant/firm would be done as per the below timeline

  • 30 % upon signing of the contract
  • 40 % upon creation of the final story/script and storyboard
  • 30% upon submission of final videos

All the logistics, i.e. boarding and lodging will be borne by the consultant/firm

EXPERTISE of the CONSULTANT/FIRM

The applicants are required to fulfil the following criteria:

  • The individual consultant/ firm needs to have a creative team in the group for this assignment with basic understanding of private sector work
  • Strong expertise in content creation and story writing
  • Demonstrated experience in developing illustrated videos
  • Experience in making short films (5 minutes)
  • The individual consultant/ firm must have expertise in video compilation editing and production
  • Ability to follow the timeline and rigorous communication with the project team
  • Proven experience of successful work with the international organizations

The consultant must be willing to receive continuous feedback and incorporate it in the product

PROCEDURE FOR SUBMISSION

Interested candidates should submit:

  • Technical and Financial proposal (including the Consultant’s taxpayer status)
  • Sample of previous work relevant to the proposed task
  • Please include all attachments in the email and do not use a cloud storage service.
  • CV/company profile
  • Detailed financial offer/costs with requested terms of payment. It is expected that the financial offer includes a primary budget breakdown of costs (for example fees, taxes, etc.)
  • The email should have the subject line: “Services for the Development of Knowledge product for AIRB Forum”

How to apply

Interested applicants must submit the above documentation in pdf format to consultancy_oxfam@oxfam.org.uk by 7 January 2023 with the subject line “Services for the Development of Knowledge product for AIRB Forum”

It is mandatory for the consultant/firm to be present or have some contact with camera crew in Bangkok, Thailand to cover the event

Please note that it is required to mention the consultancy title on email subject, or else it will not be considered for further assessment

Only shortlisted consultant/firm will be contacted.

Oxfam reserves the right to rescind this agreement due to unsatisfactory performance by the consultant.
