Oxfam International is unable to guarantee the obtaining of a work permit for the role. Candidates must have and be able to retain the legal right to work in the US. We are not able to support the relocation of a candidate to take up the position in an Oxfam location.

The Role

Oxfam International Secretariat is looking for a highly organized and dynamic administrator for our New York office.

As a core part of our small New York based team, you would be working closely with the Head of Office to provide day to day administrative support, with the ultimate aim of supporting the increase of Oxfam’s influence and impact on policy-making and practice within the United Nations system. Supporting collaboration among Oxfam countries, regions and affiliates to strengthen Oxfam’s lobbying and campaigning in New York on conflict and humanitarian crises.

Who we're looking for

You need to have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with experience in a similar type of environment. To have demonstrated flexibility and ability to work under pressure. You will have an ability to communicate clearly and work cooperatively in a cross-cultural setting, with credibility, tact, and diplomacy. You will need excellent written and oral communication skills, outstanding time management and good project management abilities.
