The Role
Oxfam International West African Region is looking for a Roving Regional Protection Advisor to lead protection work in direct support to Oxfam West Africa country teams for humanitarian scale up, provide ongoing support of large humanitarian responses in West Africa and effectively contribute to the development of regional and country level capabilities in protection.

What we're looking for
- You will have had significant involvement in humanitarian response work, as well as e**xperience working in an advisory role in a humanitarian context**.
- You will be able to show strong conceptual and a practical understanding of protection issues, particularly at the field leve, and specifically Oxfam’s approach to and role in protection work across the key thematic areas of Oxfam's work, including but not limited to gender.
- You will demonstrate strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- You will demonstrate an affinity with and commitment to Oxfam's values, feminist leadership and a commitment to Oxfam's safeguarding policies
- Fluency in English and French are essential in order to be successful in this position
